This
movement wants to stop the fighting and get back to the core of what
makes us as a people and a nation great. When we talk about policies,
procedures, and philosophies we get lost in arguments that both rational
and irrational. Then the arguments escalate into personal attacks and
name calling because we do not understand each others points of view. But if we move to discussion back to fundamental
principles and can agree on a starting framework, a common framework, to make decisions. All
of these policy questions become much
simpler.
This idea of having a framework for make decisions is vital for making
good decisions.
This is very directly and simple.. We should
be living
by 9 core
principles and hold 12 values in high regard. This is the
framework to make decisions of any kind: personal, policy, and political. Will we still
have disagreements, YES. Will we have debates on how to proceed, YES.
But maybe what we can cut down on is the
outlandish
personal attacks, smear
campaigns,
and corrupt power brokering that goes on now in the our governmental
circles as well as everywhere in our lives.
Is very clear this is not a normal political movement with some
charismatic person leading the charge to organize and follow him to take
charge of the government. No quite the opposite. We are
being called to become the people that we there on Sept 12, 2001.
We had been brought together by a horrific event. We worked
together, we thought and acted not out of our own selfish interested but
for the greater good.
We are being called to become better people at the core of our beings.
When we become better people and we can help others become become better
people. This is how to make the everything better for all of us;
one person, one relationship at a time.
We are being encouraged to start small with our friends and
neighbors. Just start out by taking. Glenn Beck's set for show was
made up look like a kitchen table. The place where a lot of regular
people hash out the events and problems. That is what Glenn wants us to
do. TALK TO EACH OTHER, LISTEN, and LEARN.
When we do that we
will build the relationships with each other that have been missing from
our neighborhoods, and society in general. for a very long time.
These are the principles and values for this project.

The Nine
Principles |
The Twelve
Values |
- America is good.
- I believe in God and He is the Center of my
Life.
- I must always try to be a more honest person
than I was yesterday.
- The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the
ultimate authority, not the government.
- If you break the law you pay the penalty.
Justice is blind and no one is above it.
- I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of
happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.
- I work hard for what I have and I will share it
with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
- It is not un-American for me to disagree with
authority or to share my personal opinion.
- The government works for me. I do not answer to
them, they answer to me.
